Overwintered Queen Bees For Sale

Our Buckfast Queens have been selected over many years, by cross breeding and natural open mating to create a queen which produces hard working, gentle, calm on the comb bees. 

Our bees are proven to survive the winter in small colonies and get through the coldest months on small rations. They build up quickly in the spring and are great forgers.

These queens are from late summer of 2025 (Marked Blue) which have gone through the winter successfully. They will be dispatched from around end of April 2026 when we get night time temperature of over 10 degrees. Collection is possible by arrangement.

    Ordered a queen from Berkshire Bees and got a message as to when it was being dispatched. The Lady arrived on a next day delivery service as I was told and is now in the hive and looks very good! Had a bit of problem with their emails going to spam, so check your spam folders. But all good at the end. I will use these beekeepers again.

    Brilliant reintroduction to beekeeping! I got my nucleus in late April and housed them into the hive and filled it with undrawn frames, loads of calm bees. Since then they’ve just gone from strength to strength and in total they have drawn out another full brood box, drawn out six supers and filled the lot with honey. No signs of swarming and no stings, lovely bees to work with and a bumper honey harvest. Would highly recommend Berkshire Bees.

    Ordered an overwintered nuc from BB and was disappointed that there were none left but I was put onto cancellation list and now happy to say I was contacted later in the year and have a nuc of bees. This year for my I have placed my order early as the overwintered nucs seem to run out quickly. They explained everything to me about settling in the bees and what I needed to do.
